Get Pixelated!
Inspired by the phenomenal success of The Million Dollar Homepage, we've decided to implement pixel ads on our own site. But rather than displaying them on an entire page devoted to only ads, we thought we'd feature them with our great comic content. That way people will be exposed to them time and time again as they return to the Joy of Tech comic.

Why buy pixel ads?
Pixel ads are brilliant in their simplicity ... they are tiny advertisements for your company or service that reside right next to our comic where all of our visitors can see them and click on them to get to your site. Perhaps you'd like to promote your company's products or software, advertise your blog or homepage, or tell someone you love them with a few romantic pixels. This is a fun and surprisingly effective way to do that, as visitors are attracted to the little ads by their curiosity factor. Even better is the price... starting at only a hundred bucks it's made it really painless for small businesses, bloggers, and anyone else for that matter to attract some quality eyeballs to their products and websites!

How it works...
Pixels are available in 100-pixel 'blocks' (each measuring 10x10 pixels) for the price of $100.00 each block. Your pixels will be featured on our main Joy of Tech page for at least one year. That will translate into at least 6 million exposures, and very likely much more! (probably well over 10 million exposures, at our current page views... from 15,000 to 50,000 a day!) So that works out to be less than 28 cents a day for a 100 pixel block! And it gets even better, because, your ad will live on permanently in our hugely popular comic archives! That's a gigantic amount of value, lasting years and years, for as little as a hundred bucks! (And we're not only talking about great exposure on our site, but also the benefits of having a link on a highly Google page-ranked page.)

The reason for selling them in the 100 pixel blocks is because anything smaller would be too tiny to display a recognizable image. You can purchase any amount of blocks in any shape you'd like, but of course the more blocks you get, the more visible your product will be. After you purchase a block or blocks of pixels, send us an image or logo you'd like us to place on the JoyPixel space, and we'll set that up asap.

You can supply an image (your logo, or something to catch the eye), or we can make one up for you. Your pixels don't have to be square, you can go for a long thin block, pixels that create a neat shape, or even spread your blocks of pixels around the pixelspace!
