The Joy of Tech comic

The JoyPoll was...
What's most disturbing about this comic?
  • That someone would hire a hit man.
  • That the hit man doesn't have a flat rate for everyone.
  • That the hit man would undercut the Hit Man Union's standard fees just to satisfy some kind of social vengeance.
  • The fact that I know we can't really kill oil executives, but that it would be good to make them think we are going to unless they clean up their act.
  • The fact that I would probably chip in some dough to support a "top kill" project such as this.
  • That while I am reading this, oil is still gushing into the Gulf.

We were an Amazon Associate for over 15 years, but soon after we published a comic unflattering to Amazon, they canceled our account.

When we tried to find out why, we received this reply... "under the terms of the Operating Agreement, we may terminate your account at any time, with or without cause. This termination is final and not subject to appeal." Gee, thanks Jeff.

But don't worry, we will still bite the hands that feed us, even if they don't help feed us anymore.

 About us...

The Joy of Tech is a comic about technology and pop culture, created by Nitrozac and Snaggy, and updated three times a week. We like to feature the people and events that are making today's tech news.

We've been doing this for over ten years now, and are very proud to be featured regularily on places like AllThingsD (from the people who publish The Wall Street Journal), PC Live Magazine, and many others, both on the web and in print.

We currently live on Vancouver Island, Canada, where we have a lovely perspective of the silicon valleys to the south. We make The Joy of Tech using Apple computers, mostly on our MacBook Pros, running Mac OS X Snow Leopard. We use software from Apple, Adobe, BBedit, OpenOffice.org, and others, including Microsoft (yep, we do use Microsoft Office for Mac on occasion).

Nitrozac uses a Wacom tablet to draw her illustrations. Snaggy takes Tylenol for headaches.
